As you travel from Marrakech up the valley to imlil, the countryside around you will transform From arid dust to green, with spectacular view all over the Road arrive at imlil, is a village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco.It is a goodstarting point for a climbing & Trekking Toubkal is probably one of the highest peaks of its latitude (4116 meters) the most accessible in the world.The ascent of Toubkal is a beautiful adventure that is trekking for 2 days.It is an ascent that is not at all technical and does not require a great mountaineering experience.That said, a good organization, a minimum of physical condition and a lot of motivation are necessary.
Day (1) Imlil – Sidi Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge
This trek starts in Imlil (1740m), about 65 kilometers south of Marrakech, where you will meet your team, who will take care of you during the 2 days. The muleteers take care of your luggage and we will leave in 30 minutes We will go through the Berber villages and the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2400m), where we will enjoy the picnic lunch. After a break we continue our climb to Refuge Toubkal at 3207m above sea level.
Dinner and overnight at the shelter.
Day (2) Trek to Summit of Mount Toubkal
Today we have to get up early in the morning, have breakfast and start the climb.We walk slowly, step by step, to the place above the refuge, where we will take a break.After 3 to 4 hours of climb, we arrived at the top to Toubkal.The effort is rewarded as we have a clear view of all the High Atlas.You have enough time to admire the magnificent view and to take photos.
When we returned to Toubkal Refuge after the descent, we enjoy lunch and then we take the same way to return to Imlil. The driver is already waiting for you to take you back to Marrakech
